Drowning In Oblivion- Truth

One simple truth,
A blackened sea,
Even the purest of drops,
Cannot do a thing,
Even the best of intentions,
Are all swallowed in the end,
Drowning in oblivion,

We keep on trying,
Trying to find,
A source of water,
Not filled with lies,
Something that,
Can quench our thirst,
Venturing out,
Prepared for the worst,

The black waves,
They are crashing in,
But I won't run,
I won't give in,
I want to feel,
Against my skin,
The very place, where all lies begin
Drowning in oblivion.
I am immersed,
I begin to sink,
Diving headfirst,
Into oblivion,
Without breath,
I find the source,
Approaching death,
I reach out,
And feel the drum,
Of a heart,
What have you become?
I touch you gently,
And you touch me,
Now I see the one thing,
You hid from me.

Drowning in Oblivion,
You and me,
We will rise above the waters,
Of this shadowed sea
