Evan McCollach hated reality. He liked to hide himself away in the mirror-verse, watching the pictures that it showed. Laughing lightly to himself, he would walk with the weight that would just not leave his shoulders and watch reality. But not his own reality, no, he would watch everyone else. All the rest of the people in the world, their ups that always surpassed his own, and their downs, that could never be low enough. He never knew what he was going to see, a kid getting a new dog, an old lady on her deathbed, a frog on the roadside
anything was possible. But that meant that he could also see things he never would have wanted to view.
Evan stopped in front of a particularity large hotel mirror as he went to walk past, hearing a far too familiar voice crying out from it. Usually he was used to the myriad of noises that would come from the ocean of mirrors, but he would recognize those grunts of pain and cries of anguish, he had caused them before.
He turned his head and could not believe his eyes, nor could he look away. Piper, his old friend, his old enemy, the man whose family he killed, was being overpowered by two stronger looking men. The larger man was holding him still with his back on the headboard of the hotel room bed, restraining the naked Piper's arms while keeping his prey's head right on his lap, though at least, Evan thought, face up, though he knew as his thoughts ran through his head in an instant that it was no act of mercy, it was so that Piper could see what the other man, a muscular blonde, was doing to him.
Evan devoured every inch of Piper's body, inspecting what had been done. He heard them calling Piper a slut, a whore, but they were only echoes in the back of Evan's mind at that moment. Piper and been roughed up a fair bit, he was a Rogue once, of course he would put up a fair fight, but obviously it had not been enough. Evan's eyes traced along the beads of sweat mixed with drops of blood that ran along Hartley's ivory skin, flowing down his tight muscles and leading down to the main attraction.
The other man had obviously been giving the area special attention for a while, bite marks trailed on Piper's hips towards his member. Evan's eyes probably would have hung there much longer than he would have liked to admit if it weren't for an outcry from Piper as his body shook and arched from the pain of having more than a couple fingers penetrating him without mercy.
"You think you can make me cry like this? Ha!" Hartley spit at the active man who then retaliated by delving his hand further into Piper with a jolt, causing the red head's body to spasm.
Evan could not be sure when he burst into the room, but on hindsight he was sure it was when Piper yelled "I'M A ROGUE!" Everything was a blur. Piper's shocked wide eyes, his fists in a blind fury. All he knew was that he yelled every curse he knew, and as a Scotsman and Rogue, he knew many, and that by the end of it, he had gained a few battle scars and was huffing and puffing on his knees facing the now broken mirror. He had thrown the dirty scumbags into the mirror-verse and smashed their way home. They deserved a worse death, but he was too full of boiling rage to think of one at the time, he had been far too busy busting heads. The room was silent and he felt the heat Piper's eyes on his back. Evan stood up slowly, pulling off his mask as he turned around. In all of the fuss Piper had retreated into the corner of the room, covered in a veil of white sheets. His fists were clenched, and his face was tightened in the way it always did when he was angry. Evan took a step forward without even thinking. That expression was so nostalgic, it made him feel warm inside. Sad that even a look of pure hate was warming from Hartley at this point. Better than not seeing his face at all.
"Don't come near me McCollach or I will kill you here and now!" Evan could not resist his face's instinct to form a smile. Nor could he resist being an absolute arse to someone who he knew needed and deserved much better at the time by stepping even closer to him.
"You an' I both know tha' yeh canna do tha' in tha' condition. An' this is no way teh be thanking the man who literally saved your ass" Piper simply glared at him knowing that his weak bluff had been called, even as their chests were only separated by a few small inches, Hartley held his glare, even as his body shook, though it was a different shaking from the one he had been showing to his captors, no, this shake had no hints of fear. Evan's eyes narrowed as he kept eye contact with the smaller man and leaned his head in, only a few centimeters now separating their faces.
"Look at ye, ye wan' to kill meh so badly tha' your entire body canna hold it in properly, but you know yeh can't overpower me. So then why are yeh not scared of me?" Evan hung his body in a way that blocked off one of the Piper's exits, and locked him into the corner by placing his arm next to his head on the way, his fingers lightly brushing red hair as they found their place on the plaster; though even through his gloves he could feel the other man's body heat. "Cause let meh tell ye" He leaned in more, allowing his lips to brush Hartley's ear, and his chest to touch the other's bare one. "You really should be"
